The training focused on strengthening participants\u2019 understanding of <strong>MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning)<\/strong> as a strategic system for improving project performance and impact. A key message throughout the training was the shift from activity-based reporting to <strong>outcome- and impact-focused implementation<\/strong>, ensuring that projects measure real changes such as improvements in income, productivity, market access, and resilience. Participants learned that effective programmes require the integration of quantitative and qualitative data, continuous reflection, and adaptive management to respond to evolving challenges and community needs. Monitoring was highlighted as a continuous process for tracking progress, while evaluation provides structured assessment and learning, and accountability ensures transparency and active engagement of stakeholders, especially beneficiaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The training also emphasized defining success through broader dimensions such as <strong>reach, access, and influence<\/strong>, supported by clear indicators and efficient data collection systems. The importance of <strong>Community Feedback Mechanisms<\/strong> was highlighted as a way to strengthen accountability, build trust, and ensure programmes remain responsive. Participants were introduced to key M&amp;E tools such as the <strong>Theory of Change, logframe, and Annual Work Plan and Budget<\/strong>, along with the need for strong data quality systems and alignment with national development priorities.
