However, given the repeated request from implementing partners to include coffee and piggery as new commodities under BRECSA project, the recent Supervision Mission which took place from 8th to 14th March 2025 has recommended the project to earnestly undertake the detailed assessment of the impact of introducing coffee and piggery on social, environmental, and climate parameters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The main objective of the assessment is to ensure adherence to IFAD\u2019s social, environmental, and climate safeguards and to evaluate potential risks associated with the introduction of the two new commodities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Accordingly, a team from the PMU visited all four target Dzongkhags, held a stakeholder consultation involving key sector officials, and conducted a holistic assessment in accordance with IFAD\u2019s SECAP\u2019s matrix and screening checklist.
